Our guided photography walks help you relax, explore nature and practise your photography skills in our private woodlands.

What is a mindful photography walk?

Photography encourages mindfulness. It keeps you in the present, holding in stillness and silence to get the picture you want. It helps you notice tiny details and see things with a fresh perspective. It’s also relaxing, helping you regulate your breathing.

The diverse woodland and grassland habitats at WiseWoods offer photographers constantly changing scenes to capture throughout the year.

Our photography walks are not photography classes. They won’t train you to be a professional wildlife photographer. Instead, we guide you around WiseWoods, focusing on a particular area or theme each time, inspired by the seasons and the weather.

You’ll have time to explore the details of the woods, grassland and/or river and practise different ways of capturing what you see. If you attend photography walks throughout the year, you’ll watch the seasons unfold at WiseWoods, each bringing different colours, textures, shapes and movement.

My friend & I visited for a photography walk on Easter Sunday..
We thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely stroll in the beautiful unspoilt grounds of Simon & Ingrid..
In addition we were able to take some fabulous photographs..and enjoy the sounds of the birds (which we were able to identify using an app on our phone..
Simon and Ingrid shared their vast amount of knowledge relating to the grounds, plants, trees and wildlife..which was so interesting..
I’ve been before with another friend..and will definitely be attending other walks..
